Elizabeth attended Blue Heron Academy of healing Arts and sciences in 2005, where she studied Medical Massage Therapy, Anatamy and Physiology, Therapeutic Modalities and Clinical Practice upon the recommendation of the Director of the Academy. Elizabeth earned the title Certified Clinical Massage Therapist. Elizabeth then went on to take the National Board examination in Massage Therapy and became a certified member of the American Medical Massage Association. Elizabeth also has an Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences from Northwestern Michigan College and is currently working towards her Bachelors Degree in Integrated Sciences and Education from Grand Valley State University.
Elizabeth has been practicing massage therapy for the past 6 years in different settings such as Chiropractic and Physical Therapy clinics as well as spa settings, which has given her the opportunity to help her clients achieve total body and mind relaxation, recover from surgeries and receive treatment in order to prevent illness and pain.

Very similar to the Medical Massage. A medium to firm pressure therapeutic massage that includes stretching and compression techniques. Rehabilitates soft tissue dysfunction that can result from physical labor, lifting weights or sports related injuries. Promotes flexibility, reduces swelling, relieves muscle tension and alleviates muscle fatigue.

Massage Therapy can aid moms to be by improving circulation, relieving mental and physical fatigue, and addressing recurring problems such as leg cramps, sciatica, back pain and water retention. In the prenatal massage Elizabeth implements a modified Swedish Massage according to your needs.
