The workstation glasses, which are intended for an error-free view of the computer monitor, are even more sophisticated. In addition to the close range, an area is ground in here that is designed precisely for the distance to the monitor. Usually that's an arm's length.
However, many people do not get along with varifocals, but do not have to do without reading and looking well into the distance with only one pair of glasses. In these models, an area is ground in the lower part, which is intended for close proximity. There is no smooth visual transition with these glasses.
